In Design and Technology
at Leamington, children are encouraged to be inventive
and involved in every stage of the design and
production process.
In the early stages
of their work, the children are given a design
brief and encouraged to work as a team to share
ideas, solve practical problems, evaluate consumer
purchases, and carry out market research.
For the production
stage the children are taught to use tools effectively
and learn the importance of safety procedures
in the Design and Technology classroom. At Leamington
the children have access to a wide range of tools,
materials and resources in order enhance the quality
of their work.
