Science
Science is an important
part of the school teaching programme. We know
that to be successful scientists, children need
a stimulating and interesting environment that
awakens curiosity.
In Science lessons, children from an early age
are encouraged to find out about themselves and
their environment through first hand experience,
with an emphasis on scientific investigation.
Wherever possible,
science experiments are presented to the children
in practical contexts. Our children are taught
to, question, observe, predict and investigate
the world around them and in KS2 design experiments,
draw conclusions and report results. Links are
made with other curriculum areas through cross-curricular
themes and projects.
