Welcome to Reception

Reception received an important letter last week from Steven Spielberg asking for our help in creating the next instalment of Jurassic Park. Children were very creative and imaginative, we think Steven will be very pleased. We also had a video link up with Professor Fearon, a palaeontologist, who asked for our help in finding some dinosaur bones and fossils. Apparently there have been sightings in the area in the last week or so. Children have enjoyed playing on our new i pads, and created some amazing dinosaur pictures.

As lots of children are showing greater interest in Miss Carter's bump we have planned to have a baby clinic in our role play area, lots of sorting activities and making a baby shopping list for Miss Carter as she needs to buy lots of things. Monday we were visited by baby Oscar and children had lots of interesting questions to ask about him.

Information reminders

• P.E. will take place every Thursday - so kits must be in school please.
• Teachers would like to encourage children to bring in water bottles
• Book bags should be brought in everyday so children do not miss any opportunities to receive their new sounds.
• We would like children to read every night as this will really benefit them!
