School meals

At Leamington
Primary School we are proud of our purpose built
school cafeteria. Our dedicated staff provide
children with nutritious, well balanced and varied
menus for them to enjoy each day.
To ensure
the smooth running of meal times we've provided
the following information for parents and children:
Those children
who wish to stay in school during the lunch break
may have a packed lunch or a hot meal. Notice
must be given at the school office if changing
from one type to another.
Many families are entitled to free school meals
and a scale of income limits and application forms
are available at the one stop shop in the Strand.
Hot meals are currently £1.80 payable on
a Monday. Please send money in an envelope marked
with your child's name and class.
- The catering
service provide daily alternative meals for
vegetarians and a salad meal is always available.
Please inform school if your child cannot eat
certain foods for religious or medical reasons.
- If a packed
lunch is brought it must be in a plastic container
clearly labelled with your child's name. No
sweets or chocolate bars are allowed at lunchtime.
Water is provided for all pupils.
- Packed
lunch children may bring their own drink provided
it is not in a can or bottle and is non-fizzy.
- Children
who go home for dinner must be collected by
an adult and should not return before 1:00pm
for juniors and 1:20pm for infants.
- Milk money
is payable every half term. There are no rebates
for sickness or holidays as school milk is heavily
subsidised by the Local Authority. The taking
of school milk is entirely optional.
- A child
whose behaviour is inappropriate may be excluded
from meals at lunchtimes during which time supervision
will revert to the parent.
