Welcome to Year 3:

Year 3 are busy this term working on our History Topic of Ancient Greece. We are researching Greek Monsters, especially the Cyclops, Medusa and the Minotaur.

We are learning in a new way called Mantle of the Expert. The whole of Year 3 including staff members are now a Research company called Alpha Research Unit. We have been commissioned by an Ancient Greek Zoo who are expecting 3 Greek Monsters to arrive in the next few weeks. It is our job to find out about the Greek Monsters to help our client.

Ask your child about our inquiry into Ancient Greece and how we are collecting the important information.

Swimming for Year 3 has now finished. Children will need regular P.E. kits from now on. Year 3 P.E. lesson will be on Thursday afternoons.
Please ensure that your child has a water bottle in school every day, especially in the hot weather.
Remember to apply sun cream when the weather is hot and supply hats or caps.

Year 3 teachers would like to encourage children to bring in their own water bottles and a piece of fruit for snack as this will aid their learning. Children must also bring their book bags in every day so they do not miss out on any opportunity for us to listen to them read. Homework is due in every Monday.
