Welcome to Year 6

Year 6 have been revising very hard in preparation for their SATs this term.

After these are finished, we will be starting a mini-topic on the 'Olympics'. In History, we will look at the Olympics timeline from Ancient Greece to 2012. In Design and Technology, we will be creating Olympics merchandise and designing logos for these. In ICT, we will create a TV advert to promote our merchandise. Finally, we will talk about the Olympics values in PSHE and how we can apply these to our own lives. We will also be starting our new science topic on 'Dissolving'.

Year 6 teachers would like to encourage children to bring in water bottles to keep hydrated throughout the day, especially in SATs week.

Year 6 teachers would like to encourage children to bring in water bottles and a piece of fruit for snack, if they wish. Book bags should be brought in everyday so children do not miss any opportunities to read to any adult.
