Christmas at Leamington
We
have had lots of lovely Christmas activities happening
this week, getting our school in to the Christmas
spirit!
Our week started with
our Christdingle service. We celebrated by singing
carols and our year 6's lighting their christdingles
that they had made in class. We looked at what
each part of the christdingle represents and how
it it special for this time of year.
Also on Monday, key
stage 2 had a special afternoon watching the key
stage 1 nativity. I know lots of children enjoyed
this performance. Thank you to all the teachers
that put it together, it was fantastic!
We
also had a visit from Patrick the penguin. He
had a little talk to us about how we can help
the environment and how we are all like superheros.
Children looked at how we can recycle, re-use
and reduce our carbon footprint! Children were
fantastically behaved and did our school proud.
Tuesday
was another busy day. We had our big celebration
assembly where each class was awarded different
certificates for good behaviour and some chidlren
received special awards for working well throughout
the year on different activites. Later that day
we celebrated with a carol concert, where we sang
all of our favourite Christmas carols and some
special readings and prayers.

Wednesday was party
day. All children came in their best dressed and
celebrated in the afternoon with a party with
their year group. A big thank you to all the parents
and children for bringing in lota of food and
party favours!
Thursday
was the final of our school's X Factor. Children
have been auditioning for weeks in front of Miss
Fergusson and a selection of year 6 judges! Out
of the lots of children that auditioned, we narrowed
it down to ten finalists. They performed in front
of the whole school and the children in the sudience
got to have their vote as to who was the winner.
They are all winners in our eyes! We cannot wait
for next year!
At
Leamington, we want to wish all children, parents,
carers and guardians a Merry Christmas.
