Samba Band

Leamington Community School now has its very own Samba Band, a mixture of Brazilian style drumming and percussion. A group of 15 children from years 3 – 5 practice every Monday after school with another group of children from Florence Melly Primary School.

Our tutors, Al and Mandy, are teaching us lots of different rhythms including ‘Pirate Samba’, ‘Zebra Shuffle’ and the new ‘Marakatou’. The children love to play their music and have performed at many events both in and out of school. They are looking forward to their next performance.
