Food Information Regulation 2014 – Allergen Labelling

At Leamington Community Primary School we provide food throughout the school day for our pupils, staff and visitors. Our premises are regularly inspected by the Local Environmental Health Officer who uses the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme to rate the hygiene standards of our school.

The school catering company, Absolute ,is responsible for the food provision at school.

Our catering manager is based in the school kitchen between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm.

The 14 Allergens

Celery, Cereals containing gluten, Crustaceans, Eggs, Fish, Lupin, Milk, Molluscs, Mustard, Nuts, Peanuts, Sesame Seeds, Soya and Sulphur dioxide.

Consumer Responsibilities

Whilst the caterer has responsibility to make provision for signposting allergen information, the customer has a responsibility to ask for that information and inform the caterer of their dietary needs. Please ensure when your child starts school you complete the information form throughouly so we can add the details to our medical register and inform the kitchen and class teacher.
