Yesterday our children celebrated World Mental Health Day! The aim of be day was to show support for children struggling with mental health and ensuring we remove the stigma around talking about our feelings and asking for help. We had a fun filled day with lots of activities which explored what makes us happy, who we can turn to for support, what coping strategies we can use and completing team bonding games. Most importantly the children were greeted in school by a surprise heart in their locker, which had a personal message for every child in the school. The children then spread this love by writing each other compliments before decorating our classrooms and the yard to spread the positive message to our parents. Overall the children have had an amazing day and we hope they have learnt a lot and feel supported in our school!
